Christina Aguilera was born December 18, 1980 in Staten Island, New york. She spent most of her childhood with her mother in Pennsylvania. Christina Aguilera's talent appeared while she was still a child. She was known as "the little girl with the big voice." In talent shows and competitions Christina was soon ostracized by her peers and even one attempted assault. Christina's family moved at one point to escape the backlash.

On March 15, 1990 Christina landed on Star Search. Although she lost, people remarked that the 10 year old Christina Aguilera sounded like a 20 year old. Christina sang The star-Spangled Banner at professional hockey games, football games, and baseball games.

Christina Aguilera joined The New Mickey Mouse Club in 1993. Her co-stars included Britney Spears, Keri Russell, and Justin Timberlake. The show was cancelled in 1994 and Christina started recording demos to land a record label deal. In August, 1999 she released her album 'Christina Aguilera" and reached the top of the charts selling over 8 million copies in the U.S. alone. Christina Aguilera has since sold over 30 million albums worldwide and scored 5 Grammy Awards.
